We have been working in co-operation with the 11th Junior High School of Patras and we had an exchange visit within the frame of this project, visiting Liceo Sportivo «L. Cambi – D. Serrani» in Falconara, (Ancona) Italy from 23rd – 27th March. We had a great co-operation with this particular school.

We had the chance to make some really good friends, get to know the area very well with various visits around the area. We played some sports at the Lyceum (volleyball, basketball and football), were shown around the premises of the school and had the chance to have an idea on how well-equipped the school is.

We had the chance to have a guided tour of Ancona, we visited the World Heritage town of Urbino, a fortress in Mondavio, the paper mills at Fabriano, the cave of Frassassi (the biggest in the world). The parents of the Italian students were very hospitable and generous. We expect to be able to return their hospitality when they come here for the Marathon in April. We also have to express our gratitude to the teacher responsible for this project in Italy, Mrs Lorena Martinangeli for being so kind and helpful with us.
