The Bermuda Triangle is a loosely-defined region in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean, where many aircrafts and ships said to have disappeared under mysterious circumstances. The vicinity of the Bermuda Triangle is one of the most heavily travelled shipping lanes in the world, where ships often cross through it for ports in the Americas, Europe and the Caribbean islands. Persons accepting the Bermuda Triangle as a real phenomenon have offered a number of explanatory approaches such as paranormal explanations. One explanation is connected with the mythical lost continent of the Atlantis. Sometimes connected to the Atlantis story is the submerged rock formation known as the bimini road off the island of Bimini in the Bahamas, which is in the Triangle by some definitions.
There is also many natural explanations like methane hydrates, human error, gulf stream violent weather and compass variation.
