TO CARE OR NOT TO CARE ABOUT ANIMALS?

Nowadays more and more animals are being used for experiments on medical drugs and cosmetics. Scientists tend to ignore their rights and hurt them in order to improve the humankind. Personally, I disagree with animal testing and new experimenting methods should be introduced in the scientific community.

The majority of scientists use animals, such as rabbits, guinea pigs, mice and test various medical products on them. First and foremost, researchers test numerous vaccines on animals to ensure that they are safe to be granted on humans and cure diseases. Additionally, they continue animal testing with the excuse that animals are genetically similar to humans. Moreover, animals that are being tested can benefit from results of animal testing as many animal illnesses can be avoided. Also, some scientists argue that animals do not have rights as humans, therefore it is acceptable to experiment on them.

On the other side of the coin, animals do have rights and we should respect and take them into serious consideration. Initially, the majority of experiments involving animals are flawed and lead to unreliable results and the unfair loss of animal lives. Furthermore, vaccines and drugs can easily be tested on human volunteers so animals do not need to be taken into advantage. In addition, technology and science have evolved over the past years, so it will not be hard for researchers to find other methods instead of animal testing. Also, animals vary genetically form human beings so the experiments will result to false test subjects. Finally, animals have rights as humans do and we have to respect them and leave them free to live in their natural habitat.

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly believe that animal testing should be avoided and instead of that we should find other methods for experiments. Do not treat others like you do not want to treat you.
