To make the «Interview with an Animal» more engaging, let the kids become the animal on screen while they speak.

App: ChatterPix Kids. You take a photo of an animal, draw a line for the mouth, and record up to 30 seconds of audio. The animal «talks» back!

Why it works: It removes the «stage fright» of being on camera and makes the «Interview» incredibly fun to watch.

Goal: Begin the actual writing and visual development of the digital book, focusing on shared chapters that integrate the findings from the preceding months.

Key Activities:

Chapter Allocation: Teams will finalize the division of labor, assigning specific shared chapters (e.g., «The Habitat,» «Migration Challenges,» «Robotics in Research») to different groups or individuals.

Content Drafting: Students will draft text, focusing on clarity, scientific accuracy, and engaging narrative. The content should directly reference the research findings and the robotic simulation results.

Digital Integration: Begin using the chosen platform (e.g., Google Docs, Book Creator, Canva) to structure the book, incorporate multimedia elements (photos, videos, diagrams), and ensure a unified visual design.

Peer Review: Conduct initial peer reviews of the drafted chapters to check for consistency in tone, quality of writing, and factual correctness across the joint effort.

Outcome/Deliverable: Submission of Drafted Digital Book Chapters ready for final editing in the next phase.

Dear partners, our digital book will be the final product of our collaboration this month. To ensure a high-quality result, please follow these guidelines for your assigned page:

1. Book Structure

The book is divided into 3 Chapters. Please choose the category that best fits the animal or topic you are presenting:

Chapter A: Pollution of the Water Element (Seas, rivers, lakes).

Chapter B: Destruction of Forests (Fires, deforestation, urbanization).

Chapter C: Threats from Humans (Poaching, illegal trade, climate change).

2. Page Content (Requirements)

Each partner/school is allocated one (1) page, which must include:

Name of the Animal: Displayed in a prominent position.

Digital Drawing: An original drawing by the students depicting the most serious threat facing the specific animal.

Proposed Solution: A short, concise sentence on how we can save this species. The proposal can be recorded in the children’s native language first and then written on the page in English.

Partner Identity: The name of your school and your country at the bottom of the page.

3. Technical Specifications

File Format: Upload your page as a high-resolution JPG or PNG file.

Orientation: Landscape (Horizontal) – to fit the format of the digital tool (BookCreator).

Language: English.

4. Submission Deadline

Please upload your page between Monday, January 19th and Saturday, January 31st.

Note: The free version of the tool is available for only 2 weeks, so staying within this timeframe is crucial.

Each participating school selects a native or culturally significant animal.

It’s time for each class to create a drawing of the animal that represents the country assigned to them!

Please follow the steps below carefully:

Open the Google Doc provided.

In the left column, write the name of your class’s chosen animal — make sure it is an indigenous (native) animal of your assigned country.

In the right column, upload a clear photo of children s drawing of that animal.

Before uploading, please remove the background from your drawing so that only the animal is visible. You can use online tools such as remove.bg or Adobe Express Background Remover.

Ensure your image is neat, well-lit, and represents your chosen animal as clearly as possible.

⚠️ Important:
Each participating class or school must choose a different animal, so please check the list before selecting yours to avoid duplicates.

When everyone has uploaded their drawings, we’ll have a wonderful collection showing the diversity of animals from around the world — each one proudly represented by your class!
