THE CARNIVAL OF HORISTI

For many years, the village of Horisti in Drama celebrates its famous carnival. Every year the events take place on Clear Monday. The local clubs and the people of the area, who really love the carnival, always do their best for the occasion. During the Carnival period, armed with humor, cheer and love, » Tsataltzanoi » promise a real riot of colors. Tsataltzanoi is the local name of the residents of Horisti. They have a great tradition in music and happiness. During the Carnival they always give us, what is missing from all of us, laughter and joy. People of all ages participate in this Carnival. The carnival parade comments on the modern, political and economical situation of Greece. Masqueraders dance, mime and make the visitors have fun!
