Edison visits a farm

On May 29, Grades E and F from the 2nd Primary School of Karditsa visited the “Filoneikos” farm.

Students had to complete pre-planned activities. After being divided into 5 groups of 5 people, they had to vote for their group leader. This leader had to be a 6th grader. They then made a choice of the activity they wanted to do.

They played the card game. The children had to match 10 specific animals with their country of origin on a large world map that we had brought with us from our school. But beforehand, at school, they had planned for Edison to “visit” each country.

In the study of the environment subject: “Animals”, the students drew animals or built them with Lego blocks. We discussed about the care that animals need and the respect we should . We also referred to the abandonment and abuse that some animals receive, to their exploitation by humans, to the role of human activity that leads to their extinction.

They then placed their animals on Edison and programmed him to follow their commands.

In the Canva project the students of our school created group posters about animal abuse.

Gizani is a small-sized fish that lives exclusively in the fresh waters of Rhodes.

by both European and Greek legislation. It lives in most of the streams, springs and reservoirs of Rhodes.
