Every year before the Holy Week and the Easter Holidays, children like to make crafts to celebrate Easter. That’s what we did as well. These are some photos of us working. Happy Easter!!!

A characteristic figure of Easter. Children believe that if they are good children, the bunny will bring them chocolate eggs. Of course, the Hare began as a symbol of fertility and the root of the custom is found in Germany, where it is also celebrated to this day.

On Good Friday the English are quite restrained with food. Traditionally they
eat hot raisin bread, the Hot Cross Buns, so called because of the cross they carry on them. Hot cross buns are a
kind of sweet like tsoureki. They are eaten throughout the holidays, but according to tradition they must be
served on Good Friday.

Everyone goes to church wearing their best.
In England, in the old days, the tradition
was for everyone to go to church
wearing their best clothes. Women in
particular wore special hats called Easter
bonnets. They held a parade with these
hats. The woman in the nicest hat won a prize.

My favourite sport is volleyball. I’m not a member of a team because I don’t really have much free time. However, I used to play volleyball with my sister. Now, we play volleyball at school during some of the breaks and at PE, so I think I am a better volleybal player now!

Hello everyone! My name is Eleonora . I am 11 years old and it’s my last year in Primary School. In my free time I like playing a game called “Hatsune Miku Colouful Stage”. Also I rarely make video calls with my best friend because we are both really busy studying. I also have an older sister who studies at university.

During our English lessons we felt that we would like to share our thoughts with the rest of our school and our parents and we decided to make this magazine. It is our first attempt and we know we will get better with the help of our teachers. Special thanks to Mr Pericles, who helped us with the computer part of our work.
