Climate Change and the Right to Life and Health
Three students from Malcılar Anatolian High School in Bursa, Türkiye, gave a presentation on “Climate Change and the Right to Life and Health.” They explained how climate change affects both physical and mental health through extreme weather events, diseases, and air pollution. They also emphasized that the right to life and health is protected under international law. In their presentation, they highlighted the responsibility of governments, sectors, and individuals to protect future generations.
Climate, Youth and Active Citizenship
Three other students presented on “Climate, Youth and Active Citizenship.” They discussed how young people raise awareness and take action against climate change. The presentation included examples such as school campaigns, tree-planting activities, and global movements like Fridays for Future. They also explained how active citizenship empowers youth to become part of the solution. The students concluded that climate action and youth participation are strongly connected.
