As part of the Erasmus+ programme “Protect Your Nature, Protect Your Future” and in collaboration with the PhotoClimateVision initiative, the first-grade students of our school participated in a very engaging activity on climate change and photography on Monday, 4 October 2024.
This activity was integrated into the educational programme PhotoClimateVision of the Institute for Diversity and Inclusion, aiming to raise students’ awareness about the impacts of climate change and the role of photography as a tool for expression and environmental advocacy.
The workshop presenters, Ms. Matina Kanaki and Mr. Sotiris Tsakanikas, introduced the core principles of the programme and explained how students can use photography to document and capture the consequences of climate change in everyday life and in the environment around them.
Ms. Samara also participated in the session, contributing to the theoretical dimension of the topic and strengthening the connection between climate change, contemporary social challenges, and the development of environmental consciousness among students.
The ultimate goal of the activity is to inspire students to take action in protecting the environment through educational engagement and innovative approaches.
