First Day of the Erasmus+ Meeting in Berlin
The first day of the mobility in Berlin began with the arrival of participants from Greece, Germany, Latvia and Türkiye. Teachers from all four countries met in person for the first time, after months of online communication. The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, filled with mutual anticipation for the collaboration ahead.
The day opened with short presentations from each school, during which teachers shared information about their structures, educational practices and ongoing projects. This was followed by an exchange of gifts among the participants—a gesture symbolising friendship and cultural exchange.
The rest of the day was dedicated to group activities and interactive workshops aimed at strengthening cooperation among the teachers.
This first day laid the foundation for a successful week of collaboration and learning, leaving participants feeling optimistic and excited about the activities to follow

Second Day of the Erasmus+ Meeting in Berlin
The second day of the mobility in Berlin focused on an overview of global climate change and the interactions among Earth’s systems. Participants began with an introduction to the fundamental concepts of climate change, exploring its main causes—such as the use of fossil fuels, deforestation and human activities that contribute to the increase of greenhouse gases. The presentation included a review of both observed and predicted climate changes, providing the necessary foundation for the discussions that followed.
Special emphasis was given by Ms. Samara to the interactions among Earth’s systems—the lithosphere, atmosphere, hydrosphere and biosphere—and how changes in one system can affect all the others. Participants attended lectures and took part in interactive workshops examining the role of these systems in shaping the planet’s climate, as well as the consequences of their disruption on global and local climatic conditions.
The day concluded with group discussions and collaborative exchanges among the participants, who shared their perspectives and experiences regarding the environmental challenges faced in their respective countries. Understanding global climate change and its local impacts emerged as a central element, providing a strong foundation for the continuation of the Erasmus+ programme.

Third Day of the Erasmus+ Meeting in Berlin
The third day of the Erasmus+ mobility in Berlin combined educational activities with hands-on experiences, focusing on the impacts of climate change and its connection to legislation and technological innovation. Participants had the opportunity to explore how policy-making and technological progress can contribute to addressing environmental challenges.
Visit to the German Parliament (Bundestag)
The day began with an educational visit to the German Parliament, where participants received an in-depth briefing on how German and European lawmakers shape environmental policies and regulations. Key discussions centred on legislation addressing climate change and strategies for sustainable development. Through this visit, teachers gained a deeper understanding of the policy frameworks guiding environmental action.
Tour of the Reichstag Dome
A guided tour of the Reichstag Dome followed, offering panoramic views of Berlin. From above, participants observed examples of sustainable urban development and ecological design, strengthening their understanding of the relationship between urban planning and environmental balance.
Visit to the German Museum of Technology
The afternoon was dedicated to exploring the German Museum of Technology. Participants examined how technological developments influence climate change, observing exhibitions that highlight industrial evolution and technological innovation. Hands-on activities, including the exploration of sustainable technology models, reinforced the potential role of technological solutions in addressing global environmental challenges.
Experiential Activities and Discussions
The day concluded with a series of experiential activities, including group tasks and discussions. Through these interactions, collaboration was strengthened and participants exchanged ideas on implementing sustainable practices within their own educational communities.
Summary
The third day offered a rich combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experiences, allowing participants to connect climate science with its applications in legislative and technological contexts.

Fourth Day of the Erasmus+ Meeting in Berlin
The fourth day of the Erasmus+ mobility in Berlin was dedicated to the visit to Futurium, an innovative museum focused on the future and the potential of technology to support sustainability. Participants had the opportunity to explore the latest developments in sustainable innovation and engage with interactive exhibitions that highlighted the role of technology in combating climate change.
Analysis of Factors Contributing to Global Temperature Rise
After the visit to Futurium, participants took part in a workshop focused on analysing the factors that contribute to rising global temperatures. The teachers presented key causes such as:
- Use of fossil fuels: Discussion on the consequences of dependence on fossil fuels for energy and industry.
- Industrialisation: Examination of how industrialisation has negatively impacted the environment, leading to increased CO₂ emissions.
- Land-use changes: Exploration of the effects of urbanisation and agriculture on the reduction of natural ecosystems.
- Deforestation: Emphasis on the importance of forests as oxygen sources and as key regulators of the climate.
Discussion on Greenhouse Gases
A detailed discussion followed on how greenhouse gases accumulate in the atmosphere and how they affect the ozone layer and Earth’s energy balance. Participants examined the processes that lead to these changes and how they impact the planet’s climate stability.
Harmful Effects of Radiation
The day concluded with an analysis of the harmful effects of radiation on the environment and human systems. Participants discussed the ways in which radiation affects human health and ecosystems, underscoring the importance of environmental protection for the wellbeing of all.
Summary
The fourth day strengthened participants’ understanding of the causes and consequences of climate change, further preparing them for ongoing collaboration and the actions planned for the remainder of the programme.

Fifth Day of the Erasmus+ Meeting in Berlin
The final day of the Erasmus+ mobility began with a visit to the Botanical Garden of Steglitz, where participants had the opportunity to explore the remarkable diversity of plant species and ecosystems. During the visit, a seminar on energy conservation was also held, providing teachers with valuable information on sustainable practices and technologies that can be implemented in their schools to reduce energy consumption.
In addition, participants visited the tropical rainforest greenhouse, which highlighted the importance of biodiversity and ecosystem preservation for the wellbeing of the planet. Teachers were informed about the challenges faced by tropical regions and the vital importance of protecting these environments.
The day continued with the award ceremony, during which participants received their certificates of participation and Europass documents, recognising their contribution and the knowledge they gained throughout the mobility. This celebratory moment highlighted the success of the programme and the commitment of everyone involved to the goals of education and sustainability.
The certificates were presented by Ms. Samara, the Erasmus programme coordinator.
The day concluded with positive feelings and promises of future collaboration, strengthening the sense of community among the teachers from all four countries
