The right of speech and thought can not be stolen from you!
We all have a right to that,
in what we call «free expression».
Everyone should keep in mind that they are free to create
with the body, with the spirit, but above all the soul!
So get a brush and paper, write a text or music.
Or make a construction, express, what you think with them
share with your fellow human beings.
And do not forget, the right of speech and thought,
no one can steal it from you!
The arts and human rights are closely linked and need each other. Art can only flourish in an atmosphere of freedom. Democratic societies based on human rights are capable of being able to thrive and at the same time artists are protected from persecution. Also, the language of the arts attracts and empowers people around the world more than any other means of communication. However, human rights and democracy are under pressure.
We are currently experiencing the most serious crisis of human rights and democracy in the world. Conflict, violence, terrorism, religious fundamentalism, extremism, authoritarianism, racism and fascism endanger peace and the development of human rights.
