
Preveza is a city in the region of Epirus. It is in northwestern Greece, and it is located on the northern peninsula in the Ambracian Gulf. It is the capital of the regional unit of Preveza, which is the southern part of the region of Epirus. The Aktio-Preveza Immersed Tunnel is the first and so far, the only tunnel under the sea in Greece. It was completed in 2002.

The Surroundings: Preveza borders to the north with the prefectures of Thesprotia and Ioannina, to the east with the prefecture of Artas and to the west by the Ionian Sea.
The Town Old and New: Some villages of Preveza are Louros, Upper Rachi, Vrysoula, Stefani, Oropos and more. The local products are fruits and vegetables, oil, wine and tsipouro.
