Ano Perithia or Old Perithia is a village of Northern Corfu. It has 130 houses and many churches. At the entrance of the village stands the crimson bell tower of Agios Iakovos of Persia.
The Old Perithia has been designated as a historical monument since 1980. It looks like a ghost village with many buildings. Today there are several taverns both at the entrance of the village and in the central square where you can see Mount Pantokratora.
It has minimum residences. In the evening you meet foxes and small animals. It is a beautiful destination for visitors in winter and in summer.
