In Greece Easter is the most important celebration of Orthodoxy. At Easter in Greece we crush the red eggs, eat soup, we make laganas and tsourekia and bake the lamb or goat in the oven or on the spit. Also and we go to church with candles. In many areas in Greece there are many customs and traditions for Easter. For example, in Litochoro on Great Thursday night, the epitaphs are decorated by unmarried girls who are making flowers out of fabric throughout Lent. On the night of Great Friday, the meeting of the Epitaphs, accompanied by choirs, takes place in the bazaar, creating an amazing spectacle. There are many other customs that exist in areas of Greece.
