FOMO
FOMO or “fear of missing out” is mostly known among teenagers aged between 12-16. It is ususally because kids at this age have grown up using their phone and when without it they feel lost, disconnected from the world and feel like they are going to miss something important while not on their phones.
FOMO is a form of separation anxiety caused by your mobile phone. If teenagers can’t see what is happening on Snapchat or Instagram, they become panic-stricken about not knowing what is going on socially.
The question is: Is there a way to prevent it? The answer is: Yes! Deliberately separating from your phone by turning it off or leaving it at home can reduce dependency and anxiety.
