The piano is a musical instrument and it is considered to be a stringed instrument. The musician who plays the piano is called a pianist. It is played with keys in a horizontal arrangement. The inventor of the piano is the Italian Bartolomeo Cristofori. The piano can produce music either as a solo instrument or with an orchestra. Pianos are diveded into two main categories:
a. upright pianos
b. grand pianos.
The best, as well as the most expensive are the grand pianos,which are large in size as well as in sound. A piano has 52 white keys and 36 black keys. In addition to classical music, the piano plays a special role in Jazz, blues and Rock” n” Roll.
