Nowadays more and more people are using social media and the Internet. It is obvious that these things, that technology has offered us, have advantages and disadvantages as well.
To start with, using social media and the internet can positively affect us. We can chat with our friends, who live far away from us, where we don’t have the ability to hang out with them.
Secondly, another advantage of them is that we can surf on the internet and get informed about things we’re interested in. Also, we can do research for school projects and things like that.
On the other hand, using social media is dangerous. Many kids are trapped in situations with unknown people, who can hurt them. They can’t protect themselves because of their age and this is the factor of hazards. Also, using the Internet too much can make someone addicted to it. Many children around the world prefer to play games online than hanging out with their friends. These kids may become anti-social and their behavior can be negatively affected due to the violent games they usually play.
Taking everything into consideration, it is my firm belief that using the social media has many more disadvantages than advantages, as I mentioned before.
