Erasmus KA210 SCH 000155609 «Protect your Nature, Protect your Future»
The 1st Gymnasio of Rafina serves as the coordinating institution of the Erasmus+ KA210 project “Protect Your Nature, Protect Your Future.” The project aims to enhance environmental awareness, address the challenges of climate change, and foster responsible and sustainable citizenship within the school community. Its objectives include strengthening students’ environmental knowledge, supporting the implementation of environmental policies, and promoting the development of environmentally literate young citizens. Furthermore, the project emphasises democratic engagement, intercultural dialogue, and inclusion, encouraging participation from students of diverse backgrounds and age groups.
Through this project, students and teachers are empowered to understand the importance of environmental protection and to develop the skills needed to adopt sustainable habits. The initiative also highlights the value of democratic participation and the role of active European citizenship in shaping a greener and more resilient future.
Objectives:
1. Raise awareness about climate change and environmental protection.
2. Foster environmental literacy and eco-friendly citizenship.
3. Promote democratic engagement and understanding of its significance in Europe.
4. Encourage intercultural understanding and inclusion.
Activities:
We will implement four Learning, Teaching, and Training Activities (LTTs) for both students and teachers, alongside online project management and student meetings. Monitoring activities will ensure smooth progress and wide dissemination of the project results.
Expected Results:
• Improved skills among participants.
• Increased social cohesion and inclusion, especially for disadvantaged students.
• Creation of new educational and training materials.
• Strengthened cooperation between partner institutions.
• Heightened awareness of EU citizenship and environmental issues.
• Broader public interest in Erasmus+ and environmental initiatives in general.
