In our days, there are a lot of sports that people choose to spend their free time doing. One of them is basketball.

Basketball is a team sport which is played with two teams that are consisted of five players. These teams try to score  as many points as possible. Each team gets points when they shoot the ball into the basketball hoop which is in a height of 3 meters. If a player shoots behind the line of three points and the ball goes in the basket, the team gets three points. Otherwise, the team gets two points.

There are many basketball championships. The most famous one is MundoBasket. This championship is held every four years in different countries. The teams that take place in this championship are the national teams of different countries. The winner team is considered to be the best basketball team in the world. However, there also some other ones such as Euroleague. This tournament takes place every year and the teams that participate in that are European clubs.

To sum up, many sports are used as hobbies. One of them is basketball.
