WORLD ART DAY: Art is too important not to share

"A beautiful body perishes, but a work of art dies not" ` Leonardo Da Vinci

World Art Day was estabilished in 2012 by the International Art Organization. It is celebrated every year on the birthday of the great Leonardo Da Vinci, on April 15, with the aim of encouraging the enjoyment of art and recognizing the importance of creativity on an international and multicultural level.

Art, a unique concept in various cultures, is a central point of reference during this celebration, which promotes its development and appreciation. This occasion serves as a kind reminder for people to pause their busy lives for a while,  appreciate the beauty that surrounds them and embrace unhibited self-expression. This is an act that is often neglected due to the hectic schedule of modern reality.

Art, in its myriad forms such as architecture, music, painting, sculpture, dance, literature and film serves as a way for individuals to express their creativity and emotion. True art is seen as an authentic expression of the artist’s perception of the world and his/her feeling towards it, reflecting both the similarities and differences between people.

In a few words, World Art Day acts as a catalyst to share knowledge, feed curiosity and, of course, it lays fertile ground for interesting conversations to flourish between individuals. By promoting the development of art we not only enrich our cultural landscape but also contribute to the pursuit of a world characterized by freedom and diversity.
