Greece is my country. It is in Europe, in the Balkan peninsula. It shares borders with Albania, Turkey, North Macedonia and Bulgaria. The capital is Athens and the flag is blue and white. There are high and low mountains such as Olympus and Kissavos, and long rivers like Voidomatis and Acheron (near Parga). In Greece, you can also find plains. The largest is the Thessalian Plain famous for farming. There are more than 6,000 islands in total with beautiful beaches. The biggest island is Crete.
Greece has a great civilization There are a lot of monuments such as the Acropolis museum and Parthenon. The weather in Greece is sunny for most of the year. The summers are hot and dry, and the winters are mild, mainly near the sea. On the mountains, winters can be cold and snowy.
Greek people are kind, polite, and hospitable. They enjoy spending time with family and friends. They help tourists and are proud of their history and traditions. They like dancing and music.
