HALLOWEEN
Halloween is a British and American celebration. It is on 31st October. People decorate their houses and gardens with pumpkins and lanterns, known as Jack o’ Lanterns. They dress up in scary costumes: witches, skeletons, ghosts, black cats, bats. Children go to houses, knock the door and say “Trick or Treat”. If people say “Treat” they give them goodies, candies, lollipops and sweets. If people say “Trick”, children play a trick on them.
