In Greece Christmas holidays start when the Santa Claus brings presents to the children on 1st January.

All familles gather together around the table eating chicken, salad, soup, eggs,turkey and finally we eat Vasilopita on New Year’s Day.

Children finish school, usually on 23rd December.

Traditionallly, we used to  decorate a Ship with Christmas lights but now we decorate a tree.

Santa Claus brings presents to the children on 1st January. The children send mails to Santa Claus. The elves prepare the presents and put them in the sleigh.Then Santa is ready!
