 Dear diary

Gary and I have been stuck in these mountains for a week now. Our food supply has run out, and we’re on the verge of starvation. We found an abandoned fishing shop and raided it ; there were some fishing rods and other gear, but nothing useful for eating.
The bad thing is, we’re a long way from our base. There’s a snowstorm raging outside, and angry rats have made this place their home. We’ve managed to keep them at bay for now, but we don’t know how long that will last.
If the storm keeps up like this, the shop will become even more dangerous — debris could start falling everywhere. I suppose all we can do is wait it out, but our chances of making it out unharmed are very slim.
I’ll go help Gary reinforce the shop now.
Your Dearest
-Andrew M.»
