Η Κέρκυρα είναι ένα πανέμορφο νησί το οποίο έχει πολλά αξιοθέατα, πολλά ωραία μοναστήρια και εκκλησίες. Ένα μοναστήρι είναι η Αγία Παρασκευή η οποία έχει τέλεια θέα. Από εκκλησίες, η πιο γνωστή είναι του Αγίου Σπυρίδωνα, η οποία θυμίζει καθολική εκκλησία αλλά δεν είναι. Κατά την διάρκεια της θείας λειτουργίας, ακούγονται οι ψάλτες και κάποιος παίζει το αρμόνιο. Αξίζει να σημειωθεί ότι μπορείτε να προσκυνήσετε και το σκήνωμα του Αγίου Σπυρίδωνα και να πάρετε κομμάτι από τα παπούτσια του.
Το παλιό Φρούριο προσφέρει εκπληκτική πανοραμική θέα στο Ιόνιο πέλαγος και την πόλη. Η πλατεία Σπιανάδα είναι η μεγαλύτερη πλατεία της Ελλάδος. Δίπλα της βρίσκεται ο κοσμοπολίτικος πεζόδρομος Λιστόν με τις χαρακτηριστικές αψίδες και τις καφετέριες. Το Κανόνι και Ποντικονήσι είναι μέρη που πρέπει να τα επισκεφτείτε καθώς είναι τα πιο αναγνωρισμένα φωτογραφικά μέρη του νησιού. Το Αχίλλειο, το περίφημο ανάκτορο της Αυτοκράτειρας Σίσσι που είναι γνωστό για τους εντυπωσιακούς κήπους και τα αγάλματα από την ελληνική μυθολογία. Τέλος η Παλαιοκαστρίτσα είναι διάσημοι για τα καταπράσινοι νερά της και την παραλία με βότσαλο.
Η Κέρκυρα είναι ένα νησί που σας το προτείνω ανεπιφύλακτα.

Are you looking for the ultimate island destination? Look no further! Corfu is a breathtakingly beautiful island filled with amazing sights, wonderful monasteries, and historic churches. It is a place that has it all, and we are here to show you the best spots you absolutely must visit!
Spiritual and Historic Wonders
- Agia Paraskevi Monastery: A lovely monastery that offers a truly perfect view.
- The Church of Agios Spyridon: This is the most famous church on the island. Its architecture might remind you of a Catholic church, but it is actually Orthodox! During the holy service, you can hear the beautiful voices of the chanters accompanied by the melodies of the organ. It is also worth noting that you can pay your respects to the holy relic of Saint Spyridon and even receive a small piece from his slippers as a blessing.
- The Old Fortress: If you want a stunning, panoramic view of the endless Ionian Sea and the beautiful town, this historic fortress is the place to be!
Squares, Alleys, and Famous Views
- Spianada Square: Did you know that this is the largest square in all of Greece? It’s huge and full of life!
- Liston Promenade: Located right next to Spianada, this cosmopolitan pedestrian street is famous for its characteristic arches and cozy cafes. It’s the perfect spot to relax and people-watch.
- Kanoni and Pontikonisi (Mouse Island): You cannot leave Corfu without visiting these two spots. They are officially the most iconic and photographed places on the entire island!
Palaces and Exotic Beaches
- The Achilleion Palace: The famous palace of Empress Sissi. It is globally known for its breathtaking, lush gardens and stunning statues inspired by ancient Greek mythology.
- Paleokastritsa: Last but certainly not least, this area is famous for its crystal-clear, emerald waters and its beautiful pebble beach.
Corfu is an incredible island that combines history, nature, and fun. I highly and wholeheartedly recommend that you visit it. You will absolutely love it!
