I come from the island and state of Cyprus. Cyprus is a member of the European Union. Nicosia, the capital city is not my hometown. I live in Pafos. Cyprus is bordering Greece, Turkey and Syria. Cyprus and Greece share strong bonds like origin, history, religion and language. Unfortunately, Cyprus and Turkey have unsolved problems, keeping the island splitted in two, since the turkish troops invaded the island in 1974. The weather is rainy in the winter an hot during the summer. We swim in the most beautiful beaches. Even Afrodite, the ancient goddess of beauty came up in a shell from this sea.
