Our School “s Visit to the European Parliament of Strasbourg
On the 31st January, we visited the European Parliament of Strasbourg, which was a unique experience. Besides having the chance to admire the conference room, we were lucky enough to discuss with distinguished executives of the European board. We got concerned on issues that were posed to us and shared with them questions that occurred. We examined the phenomenon of disinformation and fake news and we exchanged our points of view on crucial issues of Europe. At the end of this part, we suggested solutions for plenty of the posed problems.
In the second part, we were asked to meet some new participants from abroad, after we had watched some informative videos. As soon as we watched them, we had to vote for the correct answer, individually, through an electronic system that was set in front of us. The questions concerned different aspects of Europe and the EU, such as basic institutions. Finally, after this, the meeting came to an end, and we all left, having obtained new interests-stimulates, useful pieces of knowledge and definitely a more specialized perspective of the EU, where we belong.
