PANHELLENIC EXAMS: IS IT WORTH IT?
Being a teenager at the age of 17 in Greece is, in my opinion, a contentious struggle concerning our prospects of succeeding at the Panhellenic University Entrance Exams and thereafter joining the ranks of a university. Yet, these attempts have all over the ages been laden with high levels of stress, anxiety, and pressure from our family and social entourage, resulting in long-term effects on our health and psychology. So my question is: should we as young people be that anxious and concerned about the outcome of these acclaimed exams or should we look at this issue from a different angle?
More specifically, we often feel an immense pressure to succeed academically and professionally. This pressure we are facing during the period of the Panhellenic exams from our close environment can intensify . While it’s important for students to strive for success and future prosperity, it is also crucial to understand that these exams can’t define someone’s future prospects. There are many paths to success, and the Panhellenic exams is only one of the possible alternatives.
It’s easy to become overwhelmed by the increased standards of these exams. However, it’s important to remember that these exams are not the only measure of success. Success can be attained in many ways, whether it’s through starting an online business, or practicing in a non-university field. It’s important for young people to investigate their interests and passions, and to recognize that there are many paths to success. While the Panhellenic exams can be a valuable tool for educational and professional progress, they should not be viewed as the only way forward for a person’s potential.
It’s true that the Panhellenic exams can be a safer option for young people seeking success. However, it’s important not to let this point reduce the importance of someone pursuing his dreams. While the Panhellenic exams might be the way forward for numerous opportunities, they shouldn’t be viewed as the only option. Young people need to go after their interests, even if these pursuits may not lead to the same level of safety and security that the Panhellenic exams represent. By taking careful risks and pursuing their dreams, young people can find success and satisfaction in many different forms. Ultimately, the key to success lies in a combination of hard work, determination, and the solidification of someone’s dream, regardless of the path taken.
In conclusion, while the Panhellenic exams can be an important achievement for young people, it’s important not to become too anxious or overwhelmed by their perceived importance. Success can be achieved in many ways. It’s important for young people to explore their interests and passions, and to recognize that there are many paths to success. By staying focused, working hard, and pursuing their dreams, young people can achieve success regardless of their performance in these exams. Let’s not forget that we are still 17 and life is ahead of us.
