What did they say???

We asked some of our classmates some questions related with studies and here is what they answered. «Do these students…»

We asked 3 students from each grade, the same 5 questions.

1st grade:

Q1: How many hours do you spend on doing homework per day?

  • Student a: Umm… I would say about an hour.
  • Student b: About one and a half hours? Yeah, sounds about right…
  • Student c: Roughly thirty minutes.


Q2: What was your average grade last year?

  • Student a: Last year I was still in primary school so… 10.
  • Student b: You mean in primary school? 10.
  • Student c: Um I think I got a 10, I am not sure…

 

Q3: What kind of after-school activities do you take part in?

  • Student a: I am in the theater team, volleyball team, I do ballet… Oh! And I also take extra English and ancient Greek lessons.
  • Student b: I play volleyball, I learn traditional dances and take English lessons.
  • Student c: I am in the local soccer team and I also have English lessons.

 

Q4: How much time do you spend on studying or practicing at home for those after-school activities?

  • Student a: Less than ten minutes.
  •  Student b: It depends, but if I had to give a definite answer, I would say… About one and a half hour?
  • Student c: I don’t have to practice soccer at home and English is fairly easy so… Forty minutes max.

 

Q5: Which subject do you find the most difficult one, and which subject do you think is the easiest?

  • Student a: I really struggle with Ancient Greek but I find English to be the easiest subject.
  • Student b: Ooh… The hardest one has  definitely to be Mathematics. And the easiest is… There are many… I will go with Language.
  • Student c: For me the hardest subject is obviously Ancient Greek, but I can’t say the same with mathematics.

 

2nd Grade:

Q1: How many hours do you spend on doing homework per day?

  • Student a: Half an hour. NO. One hour.
  • Student b: I don’t study… Just kidding! About an hour.
  • Student c: Half an hour. I don’t really study to be honest…

 

Q2: What was your average grade last year?

  • Student a: Oh, I remember… about 18?
  • Student b: 17? 17,5? Somewhere around there.
  • Student c: 18. First grade was easy.

 

Q3: What kind of after-school activities do you take part in?

  • Student a: I take extra French and English lessons and I also do hip hop and traditional dances.
  • Student b: I do kick boxing and English lessons.
  • Student c: Traditional dances and English lessons.

 

Q4: How much time do you spend on studying or practicing at home for those after-school activities?

  • Student a: I only have to study for English lessons so… about an hour.
  •  Student b: When I ACTUALLY study, I usually spend about thirty minutes.
  • Student c: English is EASY so, 15 minutes max.

 

Q5: Which subject do you find the most difficult one, and which subject do you think is the easiest?

  • Student a: Ancient Greek has to definitely be the hardest subject. Now the easiest one… OH! Language.
  • Student b: The hardest is Geography because it’s the most boring subject. And the easiest subject is PE.
  • Student c: OH GOD! Ancient Greek is a nightmare! But I really like literature.

3rd Grade:

Q1: How many hours do you spend on doing homework per day?

  • Student a: Two hours minimum.
  • Student b: Well… many subjects are harder than last year so about two hours.
  • Student c: I don’t study…Ugh, fine. About thirty minutes.

 

Q2: What was your average grade last year?

  • Student a: Last year many teachers were generous so it was easy to get high marks so I easily got a 18,1.
  • Student b: Last year I got a 19,3.
  • Student c: I think I got an 18,5. Could be wrong!!

 

Q3: What kind of after-school activities do you take part in?

  • Student a: I take extra curriculum classes. I am on the school’s dance and theatre club and I go to Sunday school.
  • Student b: I take guitar lessons, extra English and French lessons and I am in the theatre club.
  • Student c: I take part in the theatre club and I take extra English and French lessons.

 

Q4: How much time do you spend on studying or practicing at home for those after-school activities?

  • Student a: They don’t give us a lot of extra homework on the extra curriculum classes so, about one and a half hour? Maybe less?
  • Student b: I know it might sound weird, with the guitar lessons and extra French and English lessons but… I only have to practice or study for one and a half hour.
  • Student c: An hour, tops.

 

Q5: Which subject do you find the most difficult one, and which subject do you think is the easiest?

  • Student a: I HATE Ancient Greek, it is just soooo difficult! But I find Mathematics pretty easy.
  • Student b: I struggle with Physics the most, but there are certain subjects, like Language, which are super easy.
  • Student c: I would rather do anything than study Physics! Physics is just so complicated! On the contrary, English is a super easy subject.
