 In this article we are going to introduce you to Italian music, an important heritage that characterizes the global scene from centuries. Some singers marked Italian and global history like: Fabrizio De Andrè,Raffaella Carrà,Lucio Dalla, Laura Pausini.The most famous songs are: «A far l’amore comincia tu» (A make love begins to you) – Raffaella Carrà: Her most internationally renowned song.

«Pedro» – Raffaella Carrà: A runaway success that tells the story of an unlikely encounter in Santa Fe. It recently went viral globally thanks to a remix.

«Nel blu dipinto di blu» (Volare) – Domenico Modugno: The typical Italian song. He opened the doors to modern music by breaking the mold of classical tradition. Now let’s delve deeper into these beloved singers:

1. Fabrizio De Andrè

fabrioBorn on February 18, 1940 in Genoa, he grew up in a middle-class family, spending his childhood in the countryside during the war. Passionate about music and literature, he abandoned his law studies to pursue music. He made his debut in 1961 with «Nuvole Barocche,» and in his later songs, which he would produce until 1999 (the date of his death), he would address difficult topics such as the lives of rebels and marginalized people.

2. Raffaella Carrà

Born on June 18, 1943, in Bologna, she immediately moved to Rome and began dancing and performing in movies at the young age of 8. She made her debut in the 1970s in «Canzonissima,» then, with her great fame, mysteriously disappeared from music in 2021.

3. Laura Pausini

Born on May 16 in Faenza, she began singing at a very young age in her father’s piano bars, until she appeared at the Sanremo Music Festival in 1993 with her first song, «La Solitudine.» This was where her fame began, and she began singing in

other languages, like Spanish, which ensured her fame grew significantly in Latin America and Spain.

4. Lucio Dalla

Born in Bologna on March 9th, he began as a clarinetist, then debuted with the «Filippers» in the 1960s. He then became a soloist, initially with poor results, until an album called  «Com’è profondo il mare» established him as a great. He died in Switzerland in 2012 because of a heart attack.
