From May 11 to 16, the 6th Junior High School of Larissa had the pleasure and honor of hosting Ms. Djamila Chenaim, Headteacher of Collège Claude Debussy in Aulnay-sous-Bois, Paris. Ms. Chenaim visited our school as an Invited Expert under the Erasmus+ European programme (Project Code: 2025-1-EL-KA121-SCH-000314386).
The purpose of the visit was to transfer knowledge, experience, and good practices from the French educational system to our school, while strengthening collaboration and promoting the European dimension of education. During her stay, our guest took part in educational activities, observed classes, and met with the school’s teaching staff.
Special emphasis was placed on innovative teaching approaches, the integration of digital tools into the learning process, and the vital role of inclusion and intercultural education in today’s schools. Ms. Chenaim shared key insights into the French educational system and the daily operation of a French school, offering valuable expertise and practical approaches implemented in France. In turn, our teachers had the opportunity to converse with her, exchange pedagogical ideas, gain firsthand insight into French educational reality, and sharpen their linguistic and communicative skills.
In addition, cultural and experiential activities were organized to highlight the rich history and heritage of Larissa. Ms. Chenaim expressed her sincere enthusiasm for the warm welcome, the hospitality, and the high level of cooperation she experienced throughout her stay.
This visit proved to be an invaluable experience for the entire school community, fostering a shared European spirit, strong teamwork, and an open, international mindset at the 6th Junior High School of Larissa. Through initiatives like this, our school continues to invest in meaningful international partnerships, outward-looking engagement, and the development of skills that prepare both students and educators to participate actively in the European and global community.
