Shakhtar Donetsk became the first Ukrainian team to return to the pitch since the Russian invasion in February. They travelled to Athens for a friendly match with Olympiakos. Despite not having trained properly since January, Shakhtar fought hard even though it was defeated 1-0. The game was organised on short notice but 13000 fans came to show their support. More than 100k (euros) was raised to help those suffering as a result of the war. Shakhtar also took players on loan from FC Mariupol, and wore the name of others Ukraimian cities on their backs.
