1.Nikos Sergianopoulos
Nikos Sergianopoulos was born in Drama on September 24th, 1952. He studied at the State Theatre of Northern Greece and he graduated in 1979. In October of the same year he founded the Experimental Scene of Art with other actors in Thessaloniki .
Nikos Sergianopoulos acted roles successfully in many classical plays, such as ‘’A Midsummer Night’s Dream’’, ‘’Waiting for Godot’’, ‘’The Seagull’’, ‘’Wedding bed’’ . Moreover, he participated in many ancient Greek tragedies and comedies such as ‘’Midea’’, ‘’Ifigenia in Tauride’’, ‘’Nephele’’, ‘’Acharnes’’. On TV he became very popular playing in the series ‘’ Dio Xenoi’’.
On June 4th,2008 he was found murdered in his apartment in Pagrati, Athens. He was injured deadly with twenty one wounds from a knife. The knife, with which the actor was murdered, was found but without any fingerprint on it. In July, 2008 David Murtineli from Georgia was arrested and on July 26th he admitted having committed the murder. He was jailed for a lifetime.
2.Dimitrios Dramalis
The award given to Dramalis by the king of Greece ,Othon
Dimitrios Dramalis was born in Drama at the end of the 18th century. He participated in the revolution of Macedonia. In 1823, after the failure of the Macedonian rebels, Dramalis became the captain of an army which went to Crete to conquer the castle of “Grambousa”. He was the leader of about two thousand men. In July, 1830 he participated in the fight against rebels in Nafplio.
After the end of the Greek Revolution Dramalis stayed as an officer in the Greek army. In 1836 he was honored by the king Othon for his offer to Greece.
3. Giannis Fetfatzidis
Giannis Fetfatzidis is a Greek international footballer. He is a middle attacker in the Saudi Arabian team of Al Ahli. He is also called ‘’the Greek Messi’’ because of his same tactic with the Argentinean superstar. He has been playing football since he was a child. He started playing football in the amateur team of “Sourmenoi” and later he was a player of the junior team of Olympiakos. After that, Giannis started his international career. He was a footballer in the Italian team ‘’Genoa’’ in 2013-2015. In the summer of 2015 he signed a contract with Al Ahli for 3 years. He was also a member of the Greek team in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
