On November people in Britain celebrate Bonfire night or Guy Fawkes Night. People remember Guy Fawkes plot, treason and failure to blow up the Houses of Parliament.
Today they light bonfires, set off fireworks and sparklers and eat hotdogs, toffee apples and jacket potatoes. Children make an effigy of Guy Fawkes and ask for «A penny for the Guy» around the neighborhood.
Later, they burn it over the bonfire. They buy sausages and sparklers with the money.A lot of people follow torchlit processions.
